Professional Bio Mario is an Investment Associate and founding team member at InVitro Capital, where he leverages his legal and consulting background to drive fundraising efforts and support startup development. He played a pivotal role in raising InVitro Capital’s inaugural fund and has been actively involved in venture building for portfolio companies including Yalent, Curenta, Delenta, Confider, and Östa. Prior to InVitro, Mario honed his expertise as an M&A tax associate at PwC, where he specialized in structuring tax-efficient transactions and conducting due diligence for deals across the sports, biotechnology, and retail sectors. Mario holds a J.D. and Tax LL.M. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he was a member of the International Law Review and the Honors Tax Policy Colloquium. He also earned a B.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, concentrating in Finance, Strategy Management, and Entrepreneurship. Mario is a licensed attorney in the state of California. With his multifaceted expertise, Mario continues to be a valuable asset to InVitro Capital, bridging the worlds of venture capital, law, and strategic business development to foster the growth of innovative startups. Your tie/personal connection to Small-medium businesses: Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship through my family’s business, which grew from a small business into Wadi Degla, one of Egypt’s largest conglomerates. This early exposure ignited my passion for supporting SMBs, which I’ve continued to pursue through personal startup investments in California. I’ve had the privilege of seeing small businesses develop from initial concepts into valuable companies, such as Thirdwayv in Irvine, CA, further reinforcing my commitment to fostering entrepreneurial growth.
